Tieren Nie-Tan was a Jedi Knight during the time Darth Sidious hired the Yinchorri to launch their own private war against the Jedi. When the Jedi learned of the Yinchorri threat, they put the Jedi Temple on alert and stationed Tieren Nie-Tan and fellow Jedi Knight Jude Rozess on guard duty outside the Jedi Temple. Unfortunately, the Yinchorri were able to overpower Tieren and Jude through sheer numbers, and both were slain in the Yinchorri's attempt to infiltrate the Temple.
